Dr Scott Threlfall

Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer

A vastly experienced educational leader, teacher, and keynote speaker with a diverse background in sports, teaching and learning, initial teacher education, and delivering best practice sessions to support the professional development of colleagues across institutions.

Scott has worked at the ¸Û°Äͼ¿â since 2019 and is the current Programme Leader for six Master's in Education pathways at the University. Scott leads on national and international academic networks that support teaching, learning, and scholarly activities, and has managed numerous teams in achieving outstanding outcomes.

Scott adopts a humanistic leadership and teaching style, utilising effective coaching and mentoring strategy to empower teams and students.

Scott has national and international experience gained within complex environments, and has interests in staff CPD, the pursuit of excellence, quality, and the student journey. With a robust international research profile, he currently acts as a peer reviewer for three international journals. Scott is always positive, energetic, and passionate about the privilege and joy that is education.

Research interests include reflective practice, teacher noticing, and autoethnography.
